New Photoshop Picture

Over the weekend I experimented a lot more with Photoshop to try and become more familiar with it since I have never used it before. I started experimenting with a different picture than the one that I had been using for the project, and decided to switch my picture because I liked how the new picture was turning out. Here is what the original picture looks like.

This was taken in York, England on the grounds of Castle Howard. It's called the Temple of the Four Winds. I divided up my picture into 6 sections, the sky, temple roof, temple, buildings in the background on the left, bush in the background on the right, and grass. I placed each section on a separate layer, and began manipulating them. I started off by adjusting the levels, brightness, and contrast of the sky. I then began working on manipulating the temple. I used the clone stamp to get rid of the sign on the bottom step, then decided to add another statue to each side of the temple.

I didn't like all the dark spots on the temple, so I used the clone stamp to get rid of those, along with the small middle statue up top.

I then moved onto the roof section, and used the healing brush tool to get rid of the dots on the roof.
The middle part originally had the dots on it. I removed all the dots on the roof.

I am experimenting with different layer styles and the pen tool for the grass section of the picture, and have added a text layer for the title of this picture. I'm still working on adjusting the side background sections of the picture to make it all fit together.
